Burleigh James Roberts II, 70, a lifelong resident of North Utica passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
He was born on November 30, 1946 in Utica a son of the late Lyle and Virginia (Dell'Anno) Roberts. He attended Utica Schools. He also attended Barber School and received a certificate in Barbering and was employed in the Utica area
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Whitesboro.
In his younger years he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his brother Richard Roberts and his wife Rose Marie of Whitesboro and a sister Karen Bush of Deerfield. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Stephen, James and Theresa, Kristen and Laura. Many aunts, uncles and cousins and six great nephews, Evan, Dylan and Austan Flewelling, Gavin and Nicholas Infante and Brandon Reynolds all of whom he shared a special bond with.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 4:00 PM at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home Forty Main St. Whitesboro with the Rev. Jane Sautter officiating. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Interment will be in Adams Rural Cemetery in Adams, NY at the convenience of the family..
